In 1996, Lifeguard purchased a Citation 500. This jet became the fastest airplane in the fleet, offering speeds in excess of 500 mph. The Citation has become imperative over the years as a role model for aircraft used for long flights when speed and comfort are both necessary. All of the Lifeguard aircraft are designed as dedicated MICU interiors. Everything is built to allow for optimum patient care in-flight. As 1997 rolled in, Lifeguard became incorporated, prompting the name change to Lifeguard Aeromed, Inc. The company has grown over the years to encompass service to Canada as well as Mexico. Currently, Lifeguard employees over thirty full and part-time employees. The company has the ability to use a variation between doctors, nurses, respiratory therapist, paramedics, as well as qualified pilots. William Scott remains proud owner of his family run business, and continues to expand every year.
